IGA takes delivery of first lot

During a detailed factory inspection test the new large airport in Istanbul (IGA) approved the first lot of machines to be delivered to Turkey. IGA or Istanbul Greater Airport, which is the full name, will open this autumn with a capacity of approx. 90+ million passengers and will within just a very few years be extended to handle 130 million passengers a year. This will make the airport to the biggest airport in the world.

Istanbul Airport delivery

Late last year Överaasen signed a large contract for all high capacity snow removal equipment to be used at the airport. The contract includes Compact Snow Sweepers, Large Size Towed Behind Sweepers and 4 pcs TV 1000+ Snow Blowers. The deliveries will take place from now and up until late September. The FAT commission was able to inspect all types of equipment and was very happy with what they saw. The shipments will start already in week 26 when the machines will be sent by boat from Oslo on RoRO-ships.

The contract signed with IGA is one of the biggest in the history of Överaasen. We are very pleased with the confidence and trust IGA has shown us and will try our best to live up to their expectations in the years to come.
