HEAS/Sabiha Gökçen Airport takes delivery of new equipment

Representatives from HEAS/Sabiha Gökçen Airport has recently visited Øveraasen in Gjøvik to take delivery of the first two units of the runway sweeper RS 400. The FAT was very successful, and the machines are on their way to Istanbul in Turkey.

Sabiha Gökçen Airport is the large airport on the eastern side of the enormous city of Istanbul. The airport handles approximately 30 million passengers per year and has now a new runway under construction. The new runway will increase the capacity of the airport considerably.

In addition to the two RS 400 machines, the airport will also take delivery of one more RS 400, three RSC 250 with sprayers and one high capacity blower TV 1000+. All units are to be delivered by July 1st 2019 and will be a major renewal of the snow removal equipment already in operation at the airport. RS 400 machines have already been successfully in service at the airport for 6 years.

Øveraasen is proud to be able to supply the equipment to HEAS. This is another proof for Øveraasen's strong position in Turkey.
